Dakota Opportunities in Education Purpose
SUMMARY OF DAKOTA OPPORTUNITIES IN EDUCATION (D.O.E.) FOUNDATION:
Purpose: The D.O.E. Foundation was established in the early 1980’s and the purpose of the Foundation is two-fold:
- To provide scholarship funds for students seeking to further their education.
- To provide grants for Dakota teachers to enhance and improve instruction and learning in the classroom.
The D.O.E. Foundation has awarded thousands of dollars for student scholarships and teacher grants for many years. Funds for the scholarships and grants comes from one annual fundraiser which is the DOE Golf Outing typically held in July each year.
DOE also actively seeks donations and gifts from anyone wishing to contribute to the Foundation’s purpose. Donations and gifts to DOE are tax deductible due to the Foundation’s 501c status designation.
