Dakota Opportunities in Education Foundation Organization Structure and Composition
Board of Directors and Membership:
The Board of Directors is elected by the membership of the D.O.E. Foundation. Members are approved by the Board before becoming official members. Anyone interested in becoming a member may join. Members are encouraged to attend meetings where business of the Foundation is conducted and actively participate on at least one of the standing committees. Meetings are typically held on twice a year on the third Tuesday of October and April at 7:15am at the Dakota Elementary Library. There may be up to four meetings each year – depending on the need to meet. Committee meetings are held separately and meet on an “as-needed” basis.
The D.O.E. Foundation seeks new members who are interested in making a difference for the Dakota School District. D.O.E. Foundation members are encouraged to support the organization financially (by attending or contributing to fundraiser); and are also encouraged to participate on at least one of the commiittees of the D.O.E. Foundation. The existing committee’s include:
- Executive Board Committee
- Fund Raising/Golf Committee
- Scholarship and Grant Committee
- Finance/Audit Committee
- Public Relations/Marketing Committee
- By-Laws/Documentation Committee
- Membership Committee
